APPLICATION: Mostly used for stick/rod welding, but also capable of Flux Cored, MIG and TIG. Arc welding is a fusion process for joining metals. Is a stand-alone generator, 10,000 watts.
WELDING:
-Stick: Shielded Metal Arc Welding, uses a stick or rod for welding
-Flux cored: Wire Feed, Suitable for thicker materials where weld appearance may not be as critical. One drawback is that flux-cored can only be used to weld mild steel. Wire is continuously fed from a spool.
-MIG: Metal Inert Gas or Gas Metal Arc Welding, used for cosmetic appearance or high deposition rate welding. Wire is continuously fed from a spool. Requires shielding gas like argon, argon - 1 to 5% oxygen, argon - 3 to 25% CO2 or argon/helium
-TIG: Tungsten Inert Gas or Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, high quality and precision welding, requires shielding gas like helium, argon + hydrogen or argon/helium
